The first post World War II Sydney Anzac Day March on April 25, 1946, with President Mr “Black Bob” Roberts issuing “orders” and making “signals” like a section leader.

No matter where they lived, or their States of origin, men who served in the 2/33rd Infantry Battalion never forgot their mates who didn’t come home and those who did. These veterans marched and remembered on Anzac Day in Launceston, Tasmania, in the 1980s. TX1004 Maxwell Lloyd Hickman is holding the banner. TX599 Richard Eric “Dick” Lewis who is holding the flowers turned 100 in June, 2019.
